What is GetoutofYourPlan.Com?

Getoutofyourplan.com gets you out of a cell phone contract. The service is called
Cell Phone Transferring, or Cell Phone Opting. By showcasing and reviewing the companies involved in the business, we provide the right amount of information to help you choose the right service(s) to leave your cell phone.

I would like to leave my plan, but it is too much money.

Over 50% of Americans won't change their service due to the high early termination fees involved. If you were to terminate your phone, here are the amounts from some companies you would have to pay:

AT&T : $175.00 Termination Fee
per Phone
Verizon: $175.00 Termination Fee
per Phone
Sprint: $150 Termination Fee per Phone
Cingular: $150 Termination Fee ($240+ In New York)
T-Mobile: $200 Termination Fee per Phone
Nextel: $200 Termination Fee per Phone

This isn't a comprehensive list, but you can see you are paying an
extra four months worth of phone service (per phone!) to leave your plan.

So what does this site do?

Our site is main portal for reviewing these companies and aggregating this product and information to the masses.

How does the whole process work?

Essentially, you can transfer your contract to someone else who would take the remainder of your contract. You get out of your contract because they take your contract and put it in their name. You are not liable, and you also help the other party because they can get a phone contract that is smaller than the two & three year agreements that new phone users are forced to sign. Also, if you come here to get a small phone contract, you can get deals and phone contracts that are less than a year. Some go as low as a month!

Does it cost money?

Depending on the company, it might cost money. The free sites we have found are really good but don't have a great deal of buyers & sellers. Some others charge a small fee, and others only charge if you receive a response for your phone.

Are there companies outside of the United States?

Yes. Cellswapper.com provides service for the United States, Canada, & the UK. CellClients.com provides service for Canadian residents.

So why is one company on top? Does it change?

There are four main companies ( and a couple of newbies ) that we have reviewed & looked over each business' program. We evaluate them every week, and post new information or news about them in our blog. The blog is currently being replaced, but we do have a main review you can read here.

Is this legal to give up my contract?

Yes, it is perfectly legal to transfer your contract. Because the whole thing is fairly new to people, it is hard to understand the concept. Just think of these companies as the Ebays of phone opting!

Why haven't I heard about this before?

These companies have grown over the last few years. Like any new thing, it takes time before it reaches people who really need it. Also, none of these companies have the millions to buy advertisement, so they usually get a reputation through news articles and word of mouth. But it is a good thing you found us, right?

If you would like more information, you could check the Frequently Asked Questions on the company sites. You can add a question to the FAQ by
